We now offer two types of mobile optimisation on the EKM platform, responsive and the mobile shop.
What are the differences?
A ‘responsive’ design means that your website will ‘respond’ to the screen resolution and arrange the content in a way that is consumable on any device. For instance, if somebody was viewing your website on an iPhone, a responsive web design would re-size and shift the content so that the end user will be able to read it on their phone.
A dedicated, mobile optimised website is purpose built for mobile and will act somewhat independently of your desktop site.
We would always recommend using a responsive theme over the mobile shop.
How do I know which Theme offers which mobile site?
If you go to our Themes chooser - Design > Edit Theme > Choose Theme you can tell the difference by how the theme is displayed on the page. If the theme has a mobile preview next to the desktop theme, then this is a responsive design and will therefore use the responsive mobile design.
A theme which uses our dedicated mobile shop theme will display the Desktop site only.

How do I edit my mobile site?
If you are using a Responsive theme, all edits you make within the 'Shop' or 'Design' tabs will affect both mobile and desktop sites; as effectively they are now one and the same.
However, if you are using our themes with a dedicated mobile shop you can edit the mobile site in the 'Design' tab under 'Mobile'.
