In April 2015 EKM launched a new delivery system that’s both flexible and simple to configure. For those still to take advantage of the system there are plenty of settings that can be adjusted to make the system work perfectly for your online business.
[more]Before you get started, you will need to know how to use it and what it means for your current delivery methods.[/more]
1. When you go to your delivery settings (Settings > Delivery) where you will see one title under Delivery Methods named Rest of World as shown below:
2. By clicking on this tab, you will then see a drop down of all of your existing methods. If for example, you had three delivery methods on the old system named First Class, Standard and Next day, It would appear similar to the image below:
3. The new delivery system will exclude any delivery methods to the customer that do not apply to the country that they enter into the Shipping Information section upon checkout. Your existing delivery methods have been migrated into the Rest of The World section, meaning that no matter the address a customer enters into the Shipping Information section, they will be eligible for this delivery method.
4. If you have delivery methods that you only want people within the UK to be eligible for, start by clicking on the Edit button as specified image below:
Then specify which country you would like this delivery method to be applicable to by typing in the country in the field demonstrated below. The field will show a drop-down of countries when you begin typing:
