The loyalty points feature is a powerful tool to use if you are customer relationships (relationship marketing). Rewarding your customers for repeat sales is an effective way to keep them choosing you over competitors. This is why you will see large multinational companies such as McDonald's and Costa incorporating this strategy.
Please note the Loyalty Points feature will not work with the Klarna Payment Gateway.
Start by going to the Features section and installing the Loyalty Points feature.
Use/Gain Loyalty Points
1) Earn & Spend (Default) - The system will be automated. Customers will be able to earn and spend their points at will.
2) Spend Only - This means you as the shop owner must manually assign the loyalty points to a customer account, which they can then redeem against an order.
This section will require you to enter the value of one loyalty point.
Choose whether the points should be awarded against the total order including or excluding delivery.
Number Of Points Before Redemption
How many points must the customer accumulate before redeeming their points.
Specify when the loyalty points should expire for the customer.
Choose at which stage the loyalty points will be awarded to the customer.
If a customer places an order and then changes it and they should not be awarded loyalty points, you will choose which stage the points are to be removed.
Once you have filled in your loyalty point settings, remember to press Update to save your changes.
